Transfer of Entry

If you have an entry and you can no longer participate in the event you are permitted to transfer your race entry to another person on the proviso that this is completed officially via the race administrators, Sport Systems. It is important that you follow the transfer procedure as running under someone else's name is strictly prohibited and can lead to disqualification from this event and future events too. Contact enquiries@sportsystems.co.uk. Sport Systems will email the transferor (Seller) the transfer form for completion.

If you cannot run and you do not have someone you know to transfer to, you can advertise your place by 'posting' on the Staines 10K Facebook page.  There are plenty of disappointed runners who are unable to enter as the race sells out extremely quickly. 

If you are transferring, to or from, via Facebook we suggest that both the seller and the buyer adhere to the following procedure to avoid any confusion/disappointment. Legitimate sellers and buyers, but importantly, runners, will not mind following this procedure:

• Comment that you either have a race entry to sell or that you are looking for a race entry.

• Wait for a buyer or seller to reply, and comment your interest accordingly.

• The buyer then needs to private message the seller and ask them to contact Sport Systems as above to obtain the transfer form, to confirm that they are relinquishing their place. If in doubt, you can always check the alleged seller is on the list of entries before you engage further.

• The seller needs to complete the form including the order number, buyers name and email address and email it to the buyer.

• The buyer completes their details. Once both sections are completed, the buyer then returns the form to Sport Systems.

• Once the form has been sent and the place has been transferred (the buyer's name appears on entry list) the buyer will receive confirmation from Sport Systems that the transfer has been completed and any costs can be paid by the buyer to the seller, usually by bank transfer. Additionally, there is £5 administration fee to be paid to Sport Systems.
